OUR HISTORY

 

                PRIME DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS, INC. (PDSI) was conceptualized by Ulysses R. Primacio (“Uly”) initially to become the exclusive distributor of Johnson & Johnson (“J&J”) consumer products in the Western Visayas region.

 

                      Uly, a retired J&J Distributor Development Manager who was with J&J Sales Division for more than 15 years, was one of the many aspirants to become an exclusive distributor of the worldwide market leader in baby toiletries, feminine hygiene, and health care products.  Uly’s solid experience and expertise in J&J sales (he was a consistent top Key Accounts Manager), marketing, and distribution management enabled him to pass the rigid accreditation process for J&J Distributorship Program.

 

                      In SEPTEMBER 24, 1996, Uly, together with five other investors, incorporated PDSI, the 10th exclusive distributor of J&J, covering the areas of Bacolod Island.  It officially commenced its trading operation on October 1996 with in Bacolod City, initially with 20 staff, 3 delivery vans and 2 cars.

 

                       Within 8 months, the second warehouse / office was set up in La Paz, Iloilo City primarily to cover the 5 provinces in the Panay region – Iloilo, Capiz, Antique, Guimaras and Aklan provinces. PDSI is continuously expanding its customer base and slowly gaining a foothold in the consumer products industry.  By the end of 1997, the Company’s first full year of operation, PDSI posted P100 Million in sales revenues.  And by the end of 1998, sales grew by 72% to P174 Million, a performance which is deemed exceptional for an early-stage company.

                     As of January 2014,PDSI employs a total of 94 employees and have a total of 45 units of delivery vans and cars.  With more people on board and delivery facilities, PDSI is now in a better position to respond to client needs and to take advantage of other business opportunities.
